My experience at Vantage Toyota Wakefield

My overall experience with the Toyota Vantage Wakefield started on a positive note. The selection of vehicles was good, the site itself was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, and the sales process was smooth. The salesperson was professional, courteous, and I felt well looked after during the purchase.

However, there are some important concerns that have impacted my experience significantly.

I was not offered a proper test drive or given the opportunity to thoroughly inspect or walk around the vehicle before completing the purchase. During the documentation process, I was asked to sign the vehicle checklist without being given sufficient time or guidance to verify the condition of the car. As this was an approved used vehicle, I trusted that all checks had been properly carried out and proceeded in good faith.

Shortly after taking delivery and driving home, I began noticing issues with the vehicle. While some driving concerns could be managed initially, I later discovered a more serious issue where part of the front mudguard/undertray was broken and hanging loose. This is not a minor cosmetic issue and should have been identified and disclosed prior to sale.

I reported this within 3 hours of taking delivery. It has now been over 12 days, and the issue remains unresolved. Communication has been limited, and the only solution offered so far has been to bring the vehicle back to the dealership, which is approximately 200 miles away from me. A 400-mile round trip is simply not practical.

I also rely on the car daily for work, so being without it or travelling long distances creates additional difficulty. That said, I am still willing to cooperate fully if a repair can be arranged promptly and without unnecessary delays.

I am still willing to resolve this amicably and have suggested reasonable alternatives, such as:

Inspection and repair at a nearby Toyota dealership within your network
Arranging collection and return of the vehicle
Allowing me to have the repair carried out locally with reimbursement

At this stage, my concern is less about the issue itself and more about the lack of timely and practical resolution.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that a fair solution can be arranged promptly
